GreenTech Fundamentals
This intensive 2-week course equips students with the essential knowledge and certifications to excel in the growing green technology and HVAC fields. In Week 1, students will cover the basics of air conditioning systems, focusing on installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. The week will also include comprehensive preparation for the EPA 608 Type II certification, ensuring students are ready to handle refrigerants in accordance with environmental regulations.
In Week 2, students will dive into the installation and operation of Mini Split Heat Pump systems, a critical component of modern energy-efficient heating and cooling technology. Through hands-on training in state-of-the-art labs, students will gain practical experience and complete the ESCO Employment Ready Heat Pump Certification.
Upon completion of the program, participants will earn the ITEC GreenTech Fundamentals Certification, EPA 608 Type II, and the ESCO Employment Ready Heat Pump Certification. This grant-funded program is designed for qualifying participants, offering a unique opportunity to enter the green technology sector with industry-recognized credentials.
