Greentech HVAC Introductory Program
The Greentech course from ITEC Training & Education Center is a combined introduction to HVAC with EPA certification sponsored by the New York Power Authority to allow entry into the HVAC industry for New York State residents. With a majority of time spent on actual working equipment, participants will work with our certified instructors in our nationally recognized 30,000 square foot state-of-the-art training and education facility.

This course offers a well-rounded introduction to modern and legacy HVAC systems in addition to preparing you for the clean energy systems of tomorrow.
Course Topics & Certifications
Our intensive 2-week course covers HVAC basics, their impact on the environment and the clean energy technology systems now replacing them.
- Week 1: Introduction to HVAC systems, from legacy oil and gas systems heating to the modern air conditioning and heat pumps.
- Week 2: Air conditioning basics, including installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance, along with preparation for the EPA 608 Type II certification exam.
- Upon completion of the program, participants will earn:
- ITEC Greentech Certification
- EPA 608 Certification
